Hey there - welcome to Night Owl Astro! My name is Andy and I’ve been capturing the wonders of the night sky since 2023. My fascination with space began as a middle school kid at Boy Scout camp back in the 90s, when I first saw the Milky Way in all its glory. That transformative experience planted a seed that eventually grew into this incredible and fulfilling hobby of astrophotography.

Astrophotography allows me to combine my love of the cosmos with my passion for solving technically complex challenges. Each image combines hours of processing with dozens of hours of photography. On top of that, there’s the challenge of light pollution, weather, and even atmospheric turbulence! Through my work I hope to share the awe and wonder of the night sky, inspiring others to seek out the dark places of the world and witness its majesty firsthand.

In addition to my photography, I’m a member of the Denver Astronomical Society and an active participant in their astrophotography group.
